Why write about a local store....

Why I'm doing this...well there is so much cool stuff out there that parents just don't know about- stuff I wish I had known about before my boys were born, and a lot of it can be found in this local store! I have learned so much from just shopping there and talking to the employees! All of the products that they carry are made by environmentally conscious companies and some of the stuff is local and handmade. Bambini is the only place in town to buy The Tea Collection- my favorite children's line! They also carry all of the things we require to cloth diaper our crazy crew. We love the SHOE SELECTION! OMG!! So many great styles and brands from all over the world! My little guy Sevyn started school with the cutest pair of Naturino's this year because we bought them on sale at Bambini. It's a blessing to be able to find everything all in one place like this. My daughter was teething (that's another post itself!) and I found myself trying out all kinds of teethers from Bambini, I didn't have to look online and do lots of research- I knew that if they were selling it at Bambini it would be BPA, PVC, and lead free! I love not having to worry and having that assurance of quality.

I'm writing about this store because I want them to make it! There isn't another shop like this in town and I would love to see them absolutely thrive! They do so much good for our community, not just by bringing us high end gear, but also in their charitable efforts and donations to local clothing, toy, and shoe drives. I think when we spend our hard earned money we are casting a vote for the products we buy and I want to encourage my community to cast their vote for Bambini! Vote for organic, local, chemical free, happy healthy kid's stuff in Eugene! By doing so you support a local mother and her dream of bringing a consistent flow of the best of the best, top quality children's clothing, shoes, and toys to Eugene!

First post! What we're up too!

Hi everyone! My name is Tiffany and I'm a full time mama from Eugene, Oregon. I love natural organic, stylin, clothing and children's products and I'm always seeking the best gear for my little people. Soooo, this bloggity is all about Eugene's best children's boutique Bambini! I love this store so much that I decided to try to review all of their products here as I use them with my two sons Sevyn (age 5), Grey (age 3), and daughter Lyric (almost 6 months). I'm hoping other local mamas will come on and review products loved by their Bambini Babies too!

My affiliation: My family was having a hard year last year and the owner of Bambini and her family acually "adopted" us for Christmas. She called around looking for a family that needed help for the holiday and somebody we knew gave her our number. Shannon called me- I was pregnant and quite broke. I figured I'd just ignore the whole holiday since my boys seemed pretty oblivious of it. Sevyn having autism and Grey being 2. Happily though I can say they both had a great Christmas! Bambini called in favors with several of the venders they work with and got us a bunch of very nice useful things, including the cloth diaper set that would potty train our oldest! It was such a blessing at the time and we are still using the clothing and toys they gifted us then. I'm not writing this because I owe them- I'm writing because I'm enjoying this expierence and I've been looking for something positive to blog about. However, I do feel good about doing something to repay them for everything they've done for us!

I also make little flower headbands and beanies that are sold at Bambini. 1/2 of my profits from the sales of these flowers goes towards the MamaBaby Haiti Birth Center ~a cause very dear to my heart~ the other half goes to supplies to make more headbands. Bambini has contributed to several auctions for MamaBaby Haiti too! My sister Emma also makes little pants and patchwork dresses that she hopes to sell to Bambini too- if that happens I'll take pics and talk about it here. They like handmade stuff that's local so hopefully they'll be into what she makes too. I'm not employed by Bambini at all, I just always shop there because I know I can get find new organic and safe clothing, toys, and shoes at every visit and I want to blog about the things I purchase. Plus I love the staff and I think it's important to shop local as much as we can. I'll try to keep up on the sales, contest, and new items in the store and keep everyone informed about what's new and happening there! I love to take pictures so I'll post lots! Let me know if you'd like to post a review or photo of your cutie using stuff from Bambini. If this blog is popular enough I hope to show it to the owner of the store and have contests and give out prizes from Bambini! Yay!
